I am fundraising for Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli
This October I'll be running for a cause that’s very close to my heart, supporting Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli and raising awareness for suicide prevention.
I will particpate in the Move for 60 event, in honour of the 60 men who lose their lives to suicide around the world every 60 minutes.
That’s a heartbreaking reality, families, friendship groups and workplaces left with holes that can never be filled. Over 10,000 men, every single week. It’s a number that is almost too big to comprehend, but one that we can’t ignore.
On October 26th, I will run 39 km non stop in the Bondi to Manly Ultra relay event.
Why? Because every call to Lifeline costs $39 to answer. Last year alone, more than 1,000,000 calls were made. That’s one person reaching out every 24 seconds.
I’d love to help fund 60 Lifeline calls
It might sound like a drop in the ocean, but it’s 60 times that someone won’t have to face their darkest moment alone. 60 times that a voice will be there to listen, when you, or someone you love needs it most.
This cause is deeply personal to me. I’m running to raise awareness of the devastating impact of suicide on individuals, families, and communities and to encourage more men to reach out for help and connection in their time of need.
Every donation, no matter how small or large, makes a difference. It means Lifeline can answer more calls from people in crisis and ensure that support is available tonight, tomorrow night, and every night for Australians who need it most.
Please donate today.
