For many in our community, Christmas is the most difficult time of year.
Your donation can help ensure there's someone
for them to talk to this Christmas.
Christmas is a time of connection and warmth for many — but for others across the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore, it’s the most difficult time of the year.
Every day, people reach out to Lifeline feeling overwhelmed, alone or unsure how to keep going. Over Christmas, when loneliness, financial pressure, grief and social isolation intensify, even more people turn to Lifeline hoping someone who will listen.
For someone in crisis, one caring conversation can change everything.
And this moment of connection is only possible thanks to community support.
It costs $39 to answer a call from someone who may be struggling.
That one call could save a life.
This Christmas, your donation can bring comfort, connection and hope to someone doing it tough — someone who may be in your neighbourhood, your street, or even your own family.
Because we never know who might need Lifeline.
Your Support Keeps Lifeline’s Crisis
Lines Open When Its Needed Most
When someone is struggling and doesn’t know where to turn, being able to speak with someone who listens can make all the difference. That moment of connection is only made possible through the continued support of our community.
This year alone, our crisis supporters have answered more than 46,000 calls from people in distress, created over 2,500 suicide safety plans, and initiated 330 emergency interventions for those needing urgent help.
Your gift helps ensure that anyone experiencing distress has someone to talk to — day or night, throughout the holidays and beyond.
How your donation makes a difference
Local support, supporting locals.
The impact you make possible.
Lifeline Northern Beaches has been dedicated to delivering vital wellbeing and suicide prevention services in our community since 1968. In that time, we’ve answered over 1 million crisis calls and provided thousands of counselling sessions.
None of this would have been possible without generosity from our local community. When you donate, your impact is felt right here.
