I'm competing in the Lifeline Pickleball Classic to raise money for my local Lifeline.

I'm taking part in the Lifeline Pickleball Classic to raise funds for Lifeline Northern Beaches, Mosman to Kirribilli.

I'm proud to be supporting a local charity that provides crisis support and connection for people across the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore. Every donation helps Lifeline be here to listen when someone reaches out for support.

Every $39 raised helps cover the cost of answering one call to Lifeline, ensuring trained Crisis Supporters are there to provide care, connection and hope when it's needed most. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

My First Ever Tournament - For A Great Cause!

As a new pickelball player, i've really gone head first into the sport: playing 3 nights a week, investing in a paddle and bringing as many people as i can into the sport.

So when news of this tournament popped up on my FB Feed, it only made sense that I would want to sign up right? One would think.

But i spent a good month going back and forth on it. Was I ready to play in a tournament, not knowing who i was going to be partnered with. Should I sign up as a beginner just to ease myself into tournament play and make things easier. And not to mention Mosman is a bit far from the south west where i live.

But when i clicked on the link, multiple times, over and over again, I think what finally got me to sign up was reading about the work that Lifeline does in their local community. 

They are open 24/7, and provide support and person on the other line - to listen to your thoughts and concerns for when you feel overwhelmed, are going through something traumatic and they help you stay safe when you're feeling at risk.

And because of that, i am happy to support Lifeline and the tournament. Win or Lose, i think we've already won by sharing the work that they do in those communitities.

So thanks Lifeline, and we'll see you next Sunday!
